Identify hardware - The guided tour
Start > HW not installed > No FCC ID > HW type known > Mainboard > ID options
| You've got nothing but the mainboard ? Don't worry. You have still some options left: |
1. Mainboard is still functional and you can get it to boot. Proceed with identify by BIOS ID.
2. Mainboard won't boot. -> You'll have to read out the BIOS with an external EEPROM reader. Ask your local dealer for help.
The BIOS binary stores a unique ID for the mainboard. PLASMA online provides support in analysing it.
3. Search for mainboard layout properties (to be implemented soon):
Search all "List mainboards by name" /textual/pcb/*/boardname.html
